How To Rock A Clutch In 2018!

We have all heard the saying “Accessories make the outfit!” That still rings true to this day.  If you’re on a tight budget like most working women, it’s hard to still look cool and trendy without spending tons of money or is it? Well gals I’m here to assist you on this one. One inexpensive way you can update your spring wardrobe is to purchase a bright clutch handbag.  You can rock a textured clutch like the one featured above purchased at World Market for $17.84 or this bright fuchsia envelope clutch below I discovered at Target for $21.99.  These clutches look super cute with a pair of jeans and flowy top or paired with your favorite little black dress. Now go rock a clutch in 2018!

Forget About Flowers And Candy This Valentine’s Day Get “Preloved!”

My twin sis Annie, who is also a contributor on Beyond The Makeup Brush, discovered this brand of clothing and accessories called PrelovedTheir motto is “Saving The Planet One Sweater At A Time.”  Preloved was founded in Canada, by Julia Grieve in 1995.  Their team carefully creates vintage articles of clothing and fabrics to introduce unique pieces.  Many celebrities – such as Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, Hilary Duff and Kate Hudson are fans of this one of a kind clothing brand.

I am modeling the “Angele” mitts, in grey (above), currently on sale for $24.00. They come in a variety of different colors and styles. Check out the link for more information at Preloved. In the second pic I am wearing the “Peek a Boo” top in grey with lace detail added at the bottom, and on the pocket of the top. This looks great with a pair of leggings, leather skirt or jeans. The sizes tend to run a little large. This style comes in a variety of colors.  Preloved is having a sale, so I would check them out right now! Tell your honey, or treat yourself to some Preloved this Valentine’s Day!

What Woman Doesn’t Like Jewels!

Jewel tones are all the rage in 2018. Whether it’s on your nails or a smokey eye don’t dare leave home without your jewels! My friend Jade at Stem Hair and Body Salon created this look above with the “Jewels” eye shadow palette from “Cover Girl.” I purchased this affordable palette at Walmart for around $9.98 a few weeks ago. This look is definitely more for a night on the town verses a day time look but you can use some of the subtle colors for an everyday look. I have listed the steps below to achieve this same look:

1.Start with purple on outer crease for transition color.
2. Outer crease just below the purple apply black to deepen the outer corners.
3. Use the green on inner lids and blend it out towards the black and purple.
4. Apply black in outer corner again to deepen the look back up.

5. Add lashes and mascara if desired for final look.
